Enginuity served on the Construction Management team as the Construction Quality Manager of the 91,280 square foot renovation of this middle school which included extensive upgrades to the interior and exterior, MEP system, communication systems, and security systems.
The interior upgrades include complete replacement of the interior finishes, restroom renovations to meet current ADA codes, installation of a new gymnasium floor, installation of an acoustical ceiling and acoustic wall panels, and construction of a new hydraulic elevator. The exterior renovations include window replacement, replacement of the existing built-up roof with an EPDM roofing system, resurfacing of the parking lot, pouring new sidewalks and cubs, and installing a new pervious concrete exterior slab.
Major features of the MEP and technology renovation include the replacement of the existing boiler with a modern boiler/chiller 2-pipe system with remote monitoring, installation of an entrance-monitoring and key-card access system, the addition of an Aiphone intercom system, installation of a DVR high-definition color camera surveillance system, upgrading the fire and security alarm systems, and construction of a new underground electrical service with Manual Generator Transfer Switch to replace the existing overhead service.
The role of CQM involves extensive use of the Constructware on-line document management software to manage submittals, RFIs, ASIs, Change Orders, etc.
